Austin listed as country’s fastest growing city fourth year in a row

For the fourth straight year in a row, Forbes magazine has list Austin as the nation’s top growing city. Citing 5.9 percent growth in 2013 as well as a 2.5 percent estimated population growth, three other cities in Texas made the list.

Forbes noted that Austin had a 2.5 percent estimated population growth in 2013 — the highest of all geographic regions in the country…Forbes also noted that Austin’s economy grew at a stellar 5.9 percent in 2013. That’s pretty hard to beat, the report said.
